As the Design Head and Co-Founder of DesignOccult, a visual communication agency located in Goa, I have successfully led various projects across multiple design disciplines over the past four years. My work encompasses identity design, packaging design, editorial design, product design, web design, and comprehensive brand experience design. During my time at DesignOccult, I have collaborated with a wide array of clients, from startups to established businesses, leveraging my skills in visual communication to help them realize their objectives.

Delta Healthcare is revolutionizing the way medical institutions and educators access high-quality simulators, anatomy models, and task trainers in India. With a growing catalog of over 4,500+ specialized products, their core challenge was transitioning from a manual, quote-based process to a streamlined, scalable e-commerce platform.

As the sole product designer, I led the project from discovery to delivery — including user research, MVP creation, and the full e-commerce rollout. The goal was to serve both B2B and B2C users across India's healthcare and education ecosystem, while building a fast, scalable product that could be tested and refined post-launch.

Delta Healthcare’s previous platform relied heavily on offline interactions and manual quotations. This lack of transparency in pricing, poor product information, and the absence of user-specific dashboards led to low engagement, inefficient order cycles, and limited conversions.

We conducted a short but focused user survey to understand expectations and frustrations. Here is what we discovered:

We adopted a lean and iterative approach — building quickly, launching early, and refining based on feedback. No heavy frameworks; just pragmatic product design with real-world utility in mind.

Stage 1 — User Survey and Needs Assessment

To understand user needs and gather insights for the e-commerce platform, a user survey was conducted using a simple questionnaire.

This stage focused on building a working MVP to showcase the product catalog and test real user engagement.

Stage 3&nbsp;—&nbsp;Fully Functional E-commerce Website

In the final stage, we focused on designing and developing a complete e-commerce platform.

Designing for a niche, high-utility B2B/B2C product taught me the value of simplicity over complexity. We did not chase flashy features — instead, we focused on clarity, transparency, and speed-to-market. Close collaboration with sales and operational teams also helped shape a product that aligns well with internal business workflows.

Revamping Medical E-commerce in India

A new gamified feature for the game Spin da’ Bottle to enhance user engagement in online casino games. Players bet on the bottle stopping in UP or DOWN to double their winnings. We will discuss the challenges, goals, and the engaging design of this feature.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Users often leave after short play sessions due to a lack of engaging elements, resulting in high churn rates.

The repetitive nature of the games, combined with a lack of visual interest and progression, causes players to lose motivation quickly.

Current game structures don’t offer enough incentives, leading to low retention and player satisfaction.

Keep users engaged and returning to the platform regularly.

Make the gameplay more attractive to retain interest.

Encourage users to place more bets through strategic incentives.

Provide meaningful rewards to ensure a positive and rewarding user experience.

Introduce levels, achievements, and progression to help users meet their goal of increasing retention.

Offer a combination of in-game currency and real-world rewards to boost bet frequency and improve user satisfaction.

Implement visual indicators and progress tracking to enhance visual appeal and help users see their progress.

The user is prompted to make an initial deposit of real-world currency into their Real Currency Wallet. This is the user's main balance for betting.

To encourage the first deposit, users receive a welcome bonus. This could be in the form of Coins (in-game currency) equivalent to a percentage of their first deposit (e.g., 100 Coins for every $10 deposited).&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp;02&nbsp; Introduction to Coins (In-Game Currency)&nbsp;&nbsp;

Stores real-world currency. Used for purchasing Coins, and buying real-world gifts (if applicable).

Stores in-game currency (Coins). Exclusively for placing bets in the Spin da' Bottle game, unlocking rewards, and purchasing in-game items.

This way, new users are gradually introduced to the game’s economy, motivated by rewards, and have options to rebuy in-game currency (coins). Dual-wallet system separates real money from in-game coins, allowing for a smoother user experience while maintaining transparency in spending.

New users start with a small number of Coins (e.g., 500 Coins) to get them understand how betting works.&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp; 03&nbsp; &nbsp;Placing Bets and Level Progression&nbsp;&nbsp;

Users place their first bet using Coins from their Coins Wallet. They choose the bet amount based on their current balance and level.

If the user wins the bet, they receive double the Coins bet. If they lose, the bet amount is deducted from their Coins Wallet.

Reward: 100$ + 200 Coins upon completion.

Reward: 200$ + 500 Coins upon completion.

Reward: 300$ + access to real-world gifts + 1,000 Coins upon completion.

Daily Bonus: Users receive a daily login bonus of Coins (e.g., 50 Coins per day) to keep them coming back.

Challenges: Users can earn additional Coins by completing daily/weekly challenges (e.g., place 10 bets in a day, win 5 times in a row, etc.).

Gold Level Unlock: Once a user reaches the Gold Level, they can use their earned Coins to redeem real-world gifts or get discounts on items in the in-game store.

Combination Offers: Users can combine their real-world currency with Coins to get discounts on purchases of real-world products.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Helping athletes go from amateur to semi-pro to pro by addressing their challenges in training, nutrition, and event planning.

Users have access to basic fitness equipment and facilities and have some knowledge of triathlon training and nutrition &amp; fueling.

Athletes preparing for triathlons, Iron man, Ultraman, etc. face several challenges in their journey from amateur to semi-pro to pro. These challenges include lack of guidance on nutrition and training, difficulty in tracking progress and performance, and managing training schedules and recovery. 

To address these challenges, design a premium community app that provides athletes with personalized guidance on nutrition and training, tracks their progress and performance, and helps them manage their training schedules and recovery.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A personalized training plan based on their goals, fitness level, and schedule. The plan will include workouts for swimming, cycling, running, and strength training.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Performance analysis + wearable tracker

Performance analysis tools such as GPS-enabled tracking, heart rate monitoring, and progress reports to help athletes measure their progress, identify areas for improvement and make adjustments to their training plan accordingly.

The app will provide athletes with nutrition planning and tracking features to help them optimize their diet for their training and performance goals.
